Linda D Palm

Linda is a classically trained pianist and recording artist with a rock ’n roll and progressive music heart. She was a Piano Performance major at Wheaton College and can play and compose orchestral and classical music. She played with a band for many years - writing, arranging, recording and performing original music on multiple albums in the Progressive, Singer/Songwriter and Folk Rock genres.  Many of the band’s songs have graced the top of the Independent Music charts throughout the years.

Linda recently studied film scoring and digital media composition with Michael Whittaker of Scorecraft Composer Academy, which facilitated her hybrid music interests in film, TV, theater and interactive media.  Creating powerful emotions and memorable themes, her scores ranged from ambient soundscapes, heartfelt piano and kid’s music to sweeping adventure, horror and sci-fi.

The heart of Linda’s personal compositions revolve around intense sound textures, ambient landscapes and peaceful complexity, often with piano at its core.

Linda is especially drawn to creating sound and genre combinations that are new and different - taking the old and making it new - adding electronic synthesizers or MIDI sample library sounds to traditional acoustic instruments tracks and letting those two worlds collide!
